The S62 70W HPS ballast kit requires a capacitor and ballast starter to operate. We recommend all ballast servicing to be done by a certified electrician. Improper wiring is unsafe and can certainly damage the lamp and/or ballast kit.The 70w HPS Ballast Kit comes with ballast, brackets, ignitor, capacitor and screws. The 70W high pressure sodium replacement kits contain the appropriate core & coil, a properly rated capacitor, and all other components required for your ballast replacement.  The kit comes pre-wired and color coded leads to reduce the risk of incorrect wiring. It also includes simple installation instruction and a trouble shooting guide.
